I am building a cherry chest of drawers and would like to use under mount slides. The drawer widths are 32″ and I noticed Accuride Eclipse slides had a maximum width of 24″. Would anyone know of a drawer slide that would fit my application? Any advice woud be appreciated.

The drawers are 32" deep (not wide), is that correct? I searched Accuride and other contractor supply sites I'm familiar with but didn't yield anything for undermount slides that long--if they exist, I suspect they'll be pretty rare. At full extension that's a lot of bending stress on a center mount slide. Are conventional full extension metal slides on the sides are out of the question? For a drawer 32"deep that I assume will be quite heavy, some heavy duty full extension side-mounts may be the only readily available, off the shelf hardware for this application.
Hopefully one of the others will post with a more optimistic solution.
Good luck,
Pete
No Pete, the drawers are 32" wide and will take a 18" slide. I see drawers like this in kitchens all the time but accuride states that 24" is max for width in their specs.
Thanks,

You should be OK with the 18" slides.
I don't understand the restrictions but use them all the time.
I am currently building a cabinet with drawers 23 inches wide and using 16 inch slides, stated max width of 14 inches. Should work.
Thank you for your reply. I don't understand the restriction on the 24" width. I would also like any advice on other brands that readers have used and possible sourses. I want to stay with a quality undermount so I don't detract from the looks.
Thanks
The 'restrictions' are to prevent excessive side to side movement when using the drawers. But at 32" as stated, i don't think you'll have a problem. Good luck.Expert since 10 am.
Ahh, that makes sense. I'd ignore the Accuride 24" spec or, if you're concerned, mock up a test drawer.
I have a couple of 30" deep drawers by the way, the memory of which must have thrown me off track. They're where our fridge used to be. They just open, and open, and open.... SWMBO loves 'em.
Cheers,
Pete
check blum i use them on a regular basis with drawers that wide.

Have you considered adding an extra undermount drawer slide to compensate for the additional width?
