DREMEL 8220 2/45 cordless multi-tool specification
Small boxes are one of my current obsessions, with more elaborate designs gradually getting made as I pick up the skills. Just now I have a yen to try some stringing of the curved kind. A dremel in that posh Veritas router base with micro-adjustable fence, including a circle cutting thingy, is the tool that appeals as I’m already skilled at using larger routers in many ways.
The Veritas router base has a inset thread that claims to provide a fit for the thread on the nose of Dremel tools.
First question:
Could any owners of the Dremel 8220 2/45 cordless tool confirm that it does indeed have a standard thread around its nose?
The cordless version appeals as the wired version seems likely to be at risk from exerting an unwanted pull at such a lightweight tool as it’s used as a router. But what battery is involved?
Second question:
Can the battery in a Dremel cordless multi-tool be easily exchanged for a new one; and can these batteries be easily bought?
Thanks in anticipation for any advice you can give.
