my first table saw consisted of an upside down skil saw, a 2x4 and a 4'x4'sheet of cdx plywood.

If you buy it, Chris, I have a little 1" belt sander that uses the same power source. You might be interested? ;-)
Somewhere I have a 4" skillsaw that is drill motor powered. Maybe the only tool we ever really needed was a drill!

Do they make drill powered jointers?
Millers Falls made all sorts of attachments for their electric drills, among which, as I recall, was a planer attachment for use on doors and such.
Thanks for the offer Jamie, but I have a drill press powered by the same source that's in surplus.
