I’m working on a Rocking Chair- to the point of drilling for assembly.
I know I’ve seen a homemade jig for drilling the chair post on the angles needed.
Seems like It was like a V block with a block with a hole for the post on the end that you clamped tight on the post- with reference marks to line the holes???????To many years ago.
Thanks for your help

Years ago, I had to attach the legs and stretchers to a Captains chair seat. I was faced with the same problem. I turned my drillpress table aside ,rotated the drilling head to clear the bench and proceeded to drill the holes with extra long drill bits by positioning the seat down below the bench top on a level milkbox and boring the holes 'By Eye' (After attaching a 15deg template to a level and holding it 'plumb.)
Worked fine first time. If I remember correctly, the front legs had to 'splay' 3 degrees more towards the front, but not the side. Stein.
