Hi! (First time poster here)
I have a drop-down cabinet door for a microwave cabinet. The attached shows what my current setup is. The hinges in the center keep slipping in that the hinge half on the door keeps pulling away from the hinge half in the cabinet. I am not sure what to do here or if I even have the right setup.
I would appreciate any help…I’m getting quite frustrated!
Thanks!
Update:
Here are close-up shots of the hinge & support struts. The hinges are called a 90-degree Flap Hinge (and yes, I know the center screw is missing…they are what is not holding well, leading to the “separation”). We had two Blum hinges in the holes you see on the left/right of the door but the part screwed into the cabinet kept pulling up.
The only other thing I should probably add is that the flap hinge “separates” only when opening or closing the cabinet door. The supports + hinge hold the door fine when opened or closed…it’s just in the opening/closing motion that it separates.

They look like the European Blum hinges, but I've never seen that style. Looks like they are loose and rotating a bit in the socket. Can't see how they are held in. Your upper and lower holes have pre drilled screw holes for holding the door part square to the edge of the door and they sit securely into the socket. I would go buy the other type, use the upper and lower sockets and toss those. It is likely that having the hinges so close together in the centre is like a single pivot point and doesn't hold the weight of the door.
My guess is those are "economy" knockoffs found on Amazon and the installation looks a little less than precise causing the drop front to bind against the case as it opens and closes. As the door edge pivots it actually gets closer to the case than it is when fully open and the clearance is very tight and this pressure is pulling the hinge apart. There may be an adjust on the hinge that let's you widen the gap between the case and door. If not you could try chamfering the edge where it is binding to produce a little clearance space to account for this.
Sorry, there was only one photo up when I replied and combined with misreading, it looked like a vertical door rather than horizontal. Esch5995 sounds right with the binding suggestion. I think I'd try using the outer hinges without the centre ones if you haven't already. I wonder if one arm is stronger than the other and causing the door to rack as it comes down.
I made a little mock up when using these hinges for the first time. I would recommend doing the same to see if you can work past whatever is going on. The layout directions for the hinges were pretty correct dimension-wise. I did only run two hinges but things open and close smoothly. there is a significant gap between door and case when following the layout dimensions supplied.
It looks like just a poor installation to me, those hinges should not be pulled off from center / should be lined up with the edges. The holes were drilled wrong but the door is inset so it was forced to work.
Probly just measured from one side instead of in from both. Since they are too close together anyway you can re-drill out closer to where the original euros were. Make a jig to guide the forstner and clamp something to the face to avoid blowing it out.
