This isn’t exactly a woodworking question but…….. I removed some screws from my boat with the intention of filling the resultant holes. When I removed one of the screws, a little bit of water came out. I want to get it dried up before filling. I was thinking of injecting acetone or alchohol or something like that do dry it out. Will that work? Any other thoughts?

The chemicals might work, but they could hurt the finish or plastic around it.Air drying will also work.I'd be more worried about were the water came from in the first place.
Chuck, if you want to hurry along the air-drying process, grab a can of compressed air (sold in office supply stores and computer stores to blow out dirt from computers -- a friend may have a can you can have a couple of blasts out of). Hit the hole a couple of times with a blast of air. Be careful not to shake the can though!
forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
