I remember a post a while back (I think it was Sarge) who loved the Dubby Jig, but hated the price so he made his own. I liked his design…but figured the Dubby price was okay figuring in all of the parts I would have to buy…so I bought the jig for around $120. It is a great jig, well made and easy to use. Well, Peachtree just sent me an email telling me that the jig is now half price at $59. I already bought one and am happy with it, but at $59, I think it’s a great deal.

TPJ,
I have had Dubby for years, and I love it. I am sure any good woodworker could make one, but I like to make furniture, not jigs. Besides, Jerry Cole is a great guy, so I just bought one, and I use it often.
So you said that Peachtree sent you a message and said that they now sell it for $59. THAT IS A FANTASTIC PRICE. So I went to the Peachtree site and there is was. But the price was $179. Maybe the price you got was because you are a loyal customer or something.
Spread the word. If the Dubby can be had for $59, no one should be without one! (at least in my humble opinion).
Glad you got a Dubby. Sorry you got it before the price went down.
Have fun.

Did you have to use a special code or something? It shows 179?

It's showing $119 retail and I have never seen it more than that. It's the TAPER JIG we are talking about here and not any other Dubby jig as some are more expensive. If he got an e-mail.. it is because he is on their E-mail specials list as I got one also.
If you are not.. call P'tree and Dave will probably answer. Anyway.. ask them what you have to do to get the E-mail special price and get on the list. It's a great jig and I added the Pinnacle hold-downs to my home-made one which made it even better after seeing the one's used in the link FG posted.
Ya'll have fun and if you call.. tell them Sarge said to kiss my southern behind as I would have purchased at $59 as the hardware cost more than that after adding the Pinnacle hold-downs. ha.. ha...
Sarge..
I got one last Christmas (around November). I figured that my time and the cost of the hardware were worth the $60 bucks. I've only used it once... but it worked like a charm.
I called Peachtree today to ask about the tapering jig. They had a few left from the e-mail sale and gave it to me for the $59.00.There might be a few more if you call. Thanks for the heads up. I had planned on making a tapering jig but for that price, theirs looks pretty good. My guess is that the materials would have cost nearly half the price to make it myself. I, also, would rather make furniture than jigs.Domer
