I have a problem with dust in my shop. The tools I have are typical for most shops (table saw, band saw, planer router table, and miter saw. I have a Jet DC650 dust collector which is hooked into a garbage can collector to get out the big pieces. this is not tied into any duct work, I just move from machine to machine. I also have a shop air filtratrion unit which I operate to try to get the fine stuff out of the air. When I operate the table saw or band saw, there is always residual dust that sprays out into the shop. My question is how can i minimize the residual dust in the shop?
Thanks

where does the dust come out on the table saw? Some times when the fence is out of adjustment, the blade will throw dust from the back side of the blade. Band saw is tough have to encompass the area with a shop built apparatis.
The dust is coming out the back and side, . The back I would expect as it is a contractor saw. Do you have a recommendation for the band saw?
Dont they make a fabric cover for the contractor saw to aid in dust collection. I know they have it for the Jet model.
Try googling the hell out of it for ideas on the band saw

Geez, I've been waiting for you for at least a couple of weeks ;-)

That might give you some bandsaw ideas.
For my contractor saw I've made up a baffle for the back from some scrap 1/4" luan. It is still a work in progress, and, at least for the moment, is set up only for 90-degree cuts. I see in my head what I need to do with respect to that. I also made a baffle for the slot in the front with the same ply and magnets. It works quite well, but not perfectly. The TS is fitted with some sort of gizmo that fits in the bottom, and that is connected to a 4"hose to DC.
