Sawdustj I just spent time shopping for the same thing. I ended up buying the General International 1hp,750 cfm portable dust collector, model# 10-005.
I'm very happy with it. It has plenty of suction, noise level is low,(my rigid shopvac is easily twice as loud, and It's very well constructed. Definitely built to last, and parts and accessories are never a problem from General.
I really like the portability for when I roll my machines out in the fresh air to work. Now the DC comes with me, no more sweeping the drive way afterward, well not much anyway.
I paid $260.00 can. for mine, but I had to grind them a little. Check It out on Generals website.
Cheers. Walker1
I just posted my Jet 1100 cfm canister DC for sale in the classified section.
