Replacement bags from Oneida are $2.80 ea. Heavy duty, 3 mil, contractors bags from HD are about $.50. Anyone have any issues using the contractors bags instead of the Oneida’s??
Thanks,

One is clear the other is black. Hard to know when it is full! Use the original bag over and over..... Why buy new bags. I place my sawdust in the trash container, but not in a bag. Good idea to wear a face mask when you do.

I found that the "garbage" bags that they use for the big trash cans at work tho thin, are clear. I found them at "Price CLUB" in rolls for about $10 US for about 150 per roll... I place them inside my Factory Starter 3Mil bag and once its full I just twist tie it and pitch it. The heavier factory bag with the "belt loops" for the band is now just to help hold the other up.. Ive been doing this for almost 2 years now with the same origional 3-4Mil "starter" bag you get with the DC.
Hope this helps

Penn State ( http://www.pennstateind.com ) usually has a good price on the heavy clear bags. They are 7-mil bags, 10/shipment. They come to about $2/bag.
You can certainly reuse a few times, but one thing you DON'T want to have happen is for a hole to occur in the middle of planing a bunch of stock. Yikes, what a mess.
