Forgive the double-post, but Tool Talk (though more appropriate to topic) doesn’t seem to get the same traffic as Knots. Anyone else seen the ad for the 0.3 micron, 2HP DC from Grizzly? For $315 delivered? 0.3 micron? Mine’s in Mother Earth News. I checked Grizzly’s website and if it’s a typo, it’s on their website, too. What’s the catch, and how are they getting 0.3 micron filtration using bags? Anybody heard anything about this or have any links? The ad indicates “1996 Wood Magazine editors choice for top value”, but the $315 price is the “Introductory Price”. Eight years is a long time to keep an intro price and/or to reference a review commendation. Web-site indicated 12″ impeller, generating 11″ static pressure and 1550 cfm. Free two stage seperator, too. Probably a trash-can version. Incredible (truly) price for these specifications, if all is as indicated. Any thoughts?
On a related note, would the powers that be (you webmaster types) give some thought to creating a dust collection folder? Thanks. Joe |

Joe,
One point to consider, the separator on a smaller bag unit will significantly reduce your cfm's.
