Hi All of You:
I just moved to my own shop. Had been renting. I’m now ready to spend on cyclone and ductwork. I work alone in a 1200 sq. ft. space. Need help deciding between oneida 2hp, oneida 3hp, or penn state 3.5 hp. I will only need one machine being collected at one time. Have a 12″ jointer, regular 10″ cabinet table saw, and most important- a 20″ band saw that I resaw on to 12″ capacity for a lot of hours a day when I have the work. Anyway, the bandsaw is the real culprit. Covers the shop with powdery dust in a few hours work despite having 2 shop vacs and one 3/4 hp delta 4″ collector on it. Excuse the long post. I hope to get this right the 1st time. Do you think the 2hp oneida is big eneough?
Thanks, Robert

From my experience the Onieda 2hp will do the trick if it is the only gate open at the time you are using the bandsaw. You need to have a 2.5 or 3" hose to the machine to get the proper volume. However if money isn't a problem I'd go for the 3.0hp unit to allow for future expansin of your shop.

Hi Mrbird90:
Thank you for your advice. I got decisive yesterday before your post and ordered the 5hp system from clearvue cyclones. For a little less $ and some assembly from me I will get more cfm.
You did the right thing. Now go with 6 inch ridged ducting and you will have the best system available at the best price.
