A short time ago there was a thread re. dust masks. Several people advocated the AO dust respirator available from amazon for app. 14.00.
I took the small leap. My impressions; and that of my wife:
The thing is hideous looking. My wife can’t decide if I look like Hannibal Lector or the pig up the street. When I modeled it for her she laughed for a straight five minutes. Ugly as sin.
Now the good. Who cares how it looks? It works great and keeps dust out of my lungs. It is comfortable, lightweigt, and fits perfectly. No fog on glasses due to the fit and the air outlet valves. Takes a bit to get over looking over the snout (and that is what it is) in front but for 14 bucks it is far superior to replacing inefficient dust masks over and over.

PMM,
It's also a lot cheaper/better than having to drag an oxygen cylinder around whilst woodworking. And, Halloween is coming up; it might lessen the cost of a good costume too!

A Woodworkers mind should be the sharpest tool in the shop!
And how long did she laugh when you added the fashionable glasses and ear muff? Yeah, way better than draggin' the O tank around.
