I will soon be purchasing a DW746X with 30″ rails. I need a mobile base for it. I already have a HTC2000 that I used on my Delta contractor saw. I have been very happy with the performance with it and according to the manufacturer, it will support the weight and size of the Dewalt saw.
Any reason I should buy the Dewalt base? Or will the HTC work fine?
Thanks,
Chris

Hi canoebuildah!
I've been on the verge of building a strip canoe for several years. I have specific uses in mind and have found lots of plans, but no dispassionate discussion about performance. I'm looking for a knockabout single to complement my Wenonah prism that I could use rivers and tight sloughs here in central CA.
Please email if you'd like. I'd like to know what designs folks have found perform well. I'm at [email protected]. Thanks
