I’m not a fan of DeWalt, but Sears is closing out this tool at $199. Normally $399. The price is right.

Happy Woodworking....ToolDoc
ToolDoc,
I can't say I ever remember the local Lowe's ever carrying the saw. Anyway, I looked at Rick Hutchenson's site, scrollsaw.com before posting this, and he gave the saw high marks.

Don: Not sure if all Lowes had them, the local ones here did and they were gone very quickly, Sears maybe the same as I never seen any Dewalt scrollsawsw in there tool dept only there own Craftsmans..
Take Care.. Happy Woodworking.. ToolDoc
Don:
I was going to upgrade scroll in the near future and I don't know much about them. A local ( Mr. Brown) is quite experienced an even was ask by Highland Hardware to do a week-end hands-on seminar. He uses Dewalt. Let me add Dewalt supplies him with his saw. His work is great, but that probaly has more to do with his talent. A cheap set of begginers golf clubs in the right hands works better than a high-dollar tricked out set in the hands of someone that hasn't mastered the mechanics of the wing. I hope to learn more about the Dewalt in this post.
Is that Sears nationwide or an overstock local. Got to get moving as lots to do. Good luck..

I've seen them at 2 Sears stores and at a dedicated Sears tool and lawn outlet store. So, they've got to at least be regional. Call your local sears and ask. I know locally they can check stock in other stores and transfer stock.
Go to Scrollsaw.com and check out the review. He to got his saw from Dewalt also.
