Does anyone know if the material “Ebon-X” is still available & if so where? I saw it mentioned in a 1994 FW article. I tried Google but it wasn’t very productive.

I've used it, rather successfully I might add, until five or six years ago, when it was no longer possible to reach the "manufacturer." I'm guessing he's out of business. I still have some fair size 2-in-thick pieces, with even color throughout, and smaller samples, which often beg the question, "What wood is that?" I tell them it's dyed black walnut.
