Before I make my own, does anyone know where I can find these in 1/4″ 3/8″ and 1/2″.
Thanks
Dale

I used to see tropical hardwood dowels in one of the woodworking catalogs. I think it was Woodcraft, but my browser was having problems accessing their site.
Dale, I haven’t had any luck finding dowels in ebony, the closest has been pieces ¾ X¾X5” from woodcraft as Uncle Dun mentioned. I use my router to size my square plugs or shape round dowels and then cut to length by hand. I do use a simple jig to hold the pieces. I don’t want to lose any digits. If you find a supplier I would definitely be interested.
Good luck,
RickL
P.S. here is the link to the Woodcraft web page. The first item for $13.50 is the one I buy.
