In issue 207 there is an edge profile on the table that has me puzzled can anyone tell me how that profile is made?Thank you in advance I have been meaning to ask this question for awhile

As the robot said . . .
"Need more data." There are several tables pictured in that issue. Which one are you looking at?
Sorry it is the edge detail on the table that is shown in the article titled A bench that fits every room on page 36
On the Edge
The table's edge near the end appears to be square to the top. I could see a couple of ways of doing the "scoop" - either by hand with a spokeshave (e.g. http://www.lie-nielsen.com/catalog.php?sku=boggs ) or with a router using a chamfer (or similar) bit ( e.g. http://www.eagleamerica.com/product/v117-0902/ea_-_edge_forming ).
Using a router, you'd need an edge-guide template having a very shallow arc which would allow a deeper cut at the center, with the table top flipped bottom side up. I'd make the cut in two or three passes - shallow, moderate, and final depths of cut, keeping the edge-guide template parallel to the edge with each adjustment.
Thanks for your help,Im embarassed to say using a chamfer bit never occured to me.
