I am proposing to make an arts and crafts cricket table. Has anyone a set of plans which he (or she) can let me have or indicate where I can acquire some ? John Larkins

Larry,
Norm did a cricket table a few years back and it may still be on his website at http://www.newyankeeworkshop.com As I recall, the top was round, three legs, lower shelf and the legs were flaired somewhat. good luck

Thank you. had a look at this site. It confirms my memory of the type of table. I really will not now need plans. I simply could not find a picture which I remeber from years agao. Happy Xmas. Larry
Hi Larry,
It's cricket season over here and I'd never heard of a cricket table, so you got my interest.
I googled and found this picture, so that we all know what one is.
Shouldn't be too hard to draw up a plan - to get the angle right, draw up a rod on a bit of scrap MDF - one leg is all you need to draw, showing joinery as you want to make it (Dowelled or M&T, or dare I say it, pocket screws - I'm not a fan - to me they look cheap).
I'd be tempted to make the bottom frame (Stretcher rails) from a 1" wide strip of solid, ripped off a 3/4" thick board. Then rebate the bottom (ply) shelf into the stretcher rails
The Norm Abrahams site has plans for sale - but as I said, it shouldn't be too hard to draw.
Cheers,
eddie
