I remember an article in some magazine a ways back that suggested using a thinned epoxy to seal end grain in posts that will be in contact with the ground (outdoor furniture, for example). Does anybody have any info/recipe/procedure for this, or know where I might find it?
Thanks
John

West System epoxy, mixed right from the cans, works fine in this application and will penetrate satisfactorily I think. Probably takes two coats--you don't need to wait for the first to cure, just for the epoxy to soak in.
