It’s retirement time and I would like some new equipment. Whats the
best equipment for the dollar? Whats everyones opinion on Grizzly? I
need a woodlathe, planer, jointer, and bandsaw.

I have a lot of tools. One of them, a jointer, is a Grizzly. Based on that I'd say the quality is perfectly adequate for hobby woodworking and the equipment is fairly priced for the quality. I'm completely happy with it.
I don't think any one manufacturer is much superior over others; generally price is a good guide. You should probably stay away from bottom end tools. Try to find some magazine reviews on each of the tools you are seeking. They are great at educating you on what to look for.
Those are four excellent choices of tool types, by the way. You'll be able to do most anything with them, so long as you also have a table saw. A chop saw is helpful, too.
Knots gets much more "traffic" than Tool Talk. You may get more response there.
Congratulations on your retirement!
