Hi All, wondering if anyone has hade any dealings with Sunhill Machinery? I’m looking at one of their joiners. Thanks Rick G

I own a 6" Reliant jointer which is the same as Sunhill and a few other imports. It's nothing fancy but it works well. Fully adjustable cast iron tables, cast iron pulleys on the motor, heavy gauge steel cabinet, decent machining on the surfaces, blades are OK. The fence mechanism isn't real heavy duty but it works with patience and doesn't take up a lot of room. I'm always a little skeptical of the import motors and switches but mine has been on the job 3 or 4 years with no problem. The cutter head and blades are similar to a Delta. The best part was, that it was a closeout and sold for under $200. The 6" has width limitations but you can add extension tables for unlimited length. Considering that these are at the low end of the price range, I think they are an excellent value for a small shop.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
I own one of their 21 spindle horz/vert boring machines and I think the quality is good. The surface finish on the table was actually too smooth. I would buy from them again. I couldn't find my manual and have a electrical question and their technical/customer service was great.
They tend to have a lot of sales. The one I received today was for Fathers Day. Freeborn shaper cutters are 35% off

I have a Sunhill 25" widebelt. Its serviceable, simple to work on and the factory was helpful with a couple of issues. Not great but good machines at a very reasonable price. Aloha, Mike
