They are more alike than different. Excalibur was started by a guy who lost control of the the company so he started Exactor with a few changes like a stainless steel rail and a few more bearings. I hear about problems with service and ordering with both but I know folks with both units and it does what it's supposed to do. You can't put your saw on a mobile base. I'd look at dedicated slider saws as an option. Much better type of slider and with those you could mobilize the saw. See Kufo, Minimax, Hammer, Robland, Knapp, Sac, Paolini, Rojek and a few others.
