Making kitchen cabinets, red oak face frame being attched to melamine case sides utilizing pocket screws. Just noticed that I inadvertently put a small crack/ split about 2 inches long in the bottom of the left stile. This was done by over tightening the pocket screw which went thru the melamine a tad further than wanted. The screw has been removed. I am looking for advice as how best to repair without starting over. I can close the crack/split with a pipe clamp.
Any ideas out there?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Try and work as much glue into the crack and clamp it tight , let the glue set up then scrape or sand off the squeeze out and sand as needed .

Thanks for the advice, I will give it a try.Golfisher
The best glue for this type of problem is cyanoacrylate. Three types to choose from, depending on how much space you have to fill. Here is a link:

My friend is a high-end guitar builder, and this stuff is always on his workbench. It will wick up into the crack and cleans easily off the surface with no impact on future finishing.
This looks very interesting. I will purchase some and give it a go. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.
