I can’t remember on which forum I posted about this previously, but another ad popped into my Facebook feed and I actually had the presence of mind to grab a screen shot. There are a ton of fake tool ads proliferating the internet, especially ones for Woodpeckers and Laguna that I’ve seen. A number of them are from stores that are supposedly “going out of business” and listing tool prices at 10% of their actual cost, e.g., Laguna 18″ bandsaw for $279 vs $2790, or Woodpeckers slab mills for $179 (instead of $799–the actual sale price) or the one in this ad, an adjustable square for 50% off–$24.99 (these retail for $169.99). If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
