I am beginning my journey in the world of door making and wondering if anyone has a favorite resource on building doors. Primarily exterior doors.

I like Door Making and Window Making by Lost Art Press, at least for traditional types of doors and windows. It shows you how to make several traditional doors using hand tools, but you could adapt the basic design details to power tools.

Thank You!
It is also my best book about door making! Recommend it to everyone!
Thank you! That book is full of details about how to make a proper door for yourself, your family house, or you, luckily, the customer. You can even find the door type that you can find while reading essays on Vietnam war from the sources like https://studyhippo.com/essay-examples/vietnam-war/. I loved the methods and approaches provided in the book. You can easily follow step after step and make your own door that you wanted. For now, it stays as my favorite book in the door making.
I've built 8 doors over the years. Another book I have relied on besides the Lost Art Press title above is "Doormaking, A Do-It-Yourself Guide" by John Birchard published by Sterling Publishing. For me, it's hard to separate making door jambs, setting hinges, and hanging the door from making the door itself. Eventually, I worked it all out. I encourage you to research those aspects of door making. Here are a few things I came to rely on: 1/2-inch floating tenons to connect stiles and rails; the 7/11 spacing rule for top and bottom hinges (7" from the top, 11" from the bottom with the middle hinge square between them); 1 3/4" vertical grain fir for door parts (I have or had access to 8/4 rough cut VGF. Douglas Fir as perfect a wood for doors as you can find. It is completely dimensionally stable). I've included a picture of an entry door I made. I only make them for myself, if you are curious.
beautiful door and thank you
