…..do you use the Lolley columns for storage? I’m hoping to make a small cabinet for my drill press and would like to hang it on the column next to it. Does anyone out there have any clever ways of putting these necessary obstructions to good use? I thought I saw a Method of Work on this at one time but can’t seem to dig it up. thanks.

bldean,
I have on between my TS and Drill Press. I built a high table/shelf (about 5'off floor) that is supported by brackets that are held to the lolly by SS bands. It's very useful for holding TS and DP things on the flat part and off of the brackets I hang jigs, throat plates, feather boards, etc.
I think your cabinet idea may be better...

I have seen riser clamps added with arms to hold clamps .

I don't use my columns for storage. I use them to keep my floor joist clean. Every time I knock one with a board on the way to my planer dust falls from the floor joist, requiring an immediate evacuation from the shop. It gives me a chance to check in on Knots, and warm my coffee.
