Does anyone have or know where I can find plans to build a simple fence with ruler and stop block for my miter saw?
Thank you in advance for any help.

I copied mine from one that I found in the Rockler Catalog. I first built a 4' long x 30" deep table for the saw and attached it 3.75" below my normal workbench, (I have a Bosch 3912, yours may be different). Then I put a 2' extension table on the left side of the saw with a 3" high fence sitting in a dado slot. This aligns with the fence on the saw. I also drilled a couple of holes in the top of my work bench and then built a removable fence with dowles that drop into the holes. This provides the right side fence when I need one. Since the left side is fixed, I always adjust the saw fence to align with the left extension fence and use the right side fence for stop blocks etc. four feet is usually enough accurate fence for the work that I do.

If the doctor says you have Attention Deficit Disorder, do you pay attention to him?
You might want to check out norm's website - yankeeworkshop.com, I think - he just redid his miter bench and you can buy the plans there.
Here's a picture of what I did. I'm on my way to the airport and didn't have time to set it all up but I think you'll get the idea. I don't have all the room norm has so I used my existing bench.Steve - in Northern California
