So I’m seriously thinking about buying the Festool Domino DF500. I haven’t heard any real complaints about the system (besides the fact that it is an expensive tool). Does anyone regret purchasing their Domino or switching from mortise and tenon to the loose tenon system? Thanks for your input!

You probably won't regret it
I bought one when they first came out, primarily to join cabinet sides to bottoms and web frames. It works great for that but also due to the precision it is great for other things, indexing the pieces for a glue up for instance. Very well thought out and user friendly. I build traditional furniture so I haven't ditched the traditional mortise and tenon for most of my pieces, but that said, I have no regrets. I did a craftsman style vanity and a Prie Dieu using it for all joints (see images) and it worked out very well. It will retire a bisquit joiner and pocket screws with far better results.
I think you have a month to return it so there is no risk involved.

I have one and it works really well. The nice thing is that with a floating tenon you make all your rails and styles square cuts and this really speeds up the process and eliminates a lot of cumlitve errors. The only down side I think it has is the limited size of tenons but for small to medium projects it is a really nice tool. A huge step up from a biscutt jointer. I should mention it does have one other down side in that everything is metric so you do need to adjust your thinking just a bit.
