Festool Plunge Saw TS 55 or TS 75
I’ve been looking to buy the Festool TS 55 Plunge Saw. Its my stop gap until I can someday afford a true Euro Slider. Also, I need to trim about 16 new doors. My question is, has anyone purchased a TS 55 only to wish they had the capacity of the TS 75? The TS 55 seems so nice and compact but has a capacity limit of 1-15/16 inch. The TS 75 gives you 2-3/4. Impressions or opinions anyone?

I've owned the 55 for a while and have not found myself wanting the 75. I made the decision based on my need to cut down and handle sheet goods more easily and the 55 is perfect for that. All of my solid stock sees my bigger machines without exception.
one of the big deals for me was weight and the 55 is perfect. In any rare instances where I need to cut more than 2 sheets of plywood AND with a precision cut... well, I havent' seen any.
I do own a skilsaw mag77 though for those tougher jobs and when it's crude material (cdx, mdx, pressure treated, etc...) the skilsaw gets the nod.

That is pretty much what I need it for, sheet stock. I've got a Dewalt worm-gear saw too for other stuff. Thanks!
