Hi everyone,
I recently completed a 1500 sq ft rustic red and white oak floor for my wifes retail store, the floor turned our great but i intentionally left some knot holes in it(hence the rustic). I need a product to fill a few of the holes that are large enough to catch a high heel. I dont want someone suing us because they tripped because of the knots. I need the product to dry clear and be fairly hard. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jeff

I would favor an epoxy wood filler, which is less likely to move than regular wood filler.
PC Woody is my favorite, but Abatron is a good choice too.

You can use plastic casting resin, the type they encapsulate bugs and other things in. Looks like you filled the holes with glass. Available at art supply stores.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
I think i'll try the casting resin. The other options we had ruled out because of the way the floor looks with the holes(it looks good). Thanks for all your help.

Jeff,
Sometimes I place a butterfly insert over know holes, and if necessary, epoxy underneath. These can add interest and show that someone cared enough to go to the extra effort.
Maybe a bit too cute for floorboards though.

Another option is to drill a hole, fit a dowel and cut off, sand and finish to fill it.
