I am making some chairs in white maple. Some small cracks have developed that I would like to fill. How best to do it? Use some sawdust from the sanding process and mix with…..? Buy a wood filler? Other options?

How small are the cracks? If quite small, then take some superglue (I can't spell the correct name) and lay a bead on the crack, and sand it in till dry with 320 or so. Stop sanding when the surface is dry, about 30 seconds or so, and you are done.

Highland, Brownells and others carry the gap-filling flavor of Hotstuff superglue...use it as was said above.
