I have a Delta Unisaw that is about 10 years old. I keep it in my shop at my cabin which is about 300 miles from my home. I need the model number and serial number from it but the only person at the cabin is my wife. 3 out of 4 times she can identify my saw as a tool and not much more. Can anyone tell me where the serial and model number would be located so that I can politely ask my wife to retrieve it? Thanks, Joe

On my 6-month old Unisaw, the ID plate is on the back of the cabinet near the top -- to the left of the opening where the blade guard attaches. On my plate the information you are looking for is labeled "Serial No." and "Cat. No." Hopefully someone else can confirm if the ID plate is in the same position on a 10-year old saw.
Good luck,
Dick

If you have a Biesemeyer fence, or any other with a rear rail, have her take a flashlight as the shadow from the rear rail makes it hard to read the numbers.
