I took my grandfather’s Stanley 5 1/2 plane apart last weekend to refurb it and now am missing the screw that attaches the forward part of the rear handle to the sole. See attachment. anybody know where I can get a replacement?

old plane parts
outstanding. thanks.
do you also know where to find antique plane parts? I have another 5 /12 plane with a broken frog. 2 1/4" blade.
You can find old stanley plane parts on ebay. I know, I sell them all the time. I don't have a 5 1/2 frog but a No 6 frog may work. just make sure the frog you're missing matches the frog you're buying in style. Some frogs have a screw at the bottom to move it in and out.
here's 5 1/2 parts I found on ebay.
