Hi
Thanks for that, I was just worried that my info was lost and not knowing when the mag was due meant I could not ask for it from taunton anyway cheers
John
May take a extra week to get to you if you used the USA Postal service...
I'm SURE my mailman reads it FIRST!

Will, I reckon mine is sent here in a forked stick, and the most of the inhabitants of Alice Springs and the Australian ouback read/use it first.
The danged question I have is "how come my watch magazine , costing about the same, comes chop chop by airmail no problems?". Hell, if the pilot read it he must have been quick.Philip Marcou
Thanks, our post service here is bad anyway so I will allow longer thanks again
J, I had that question some time ago when I realised via this forum that the bretheren in the states were discussing articles in #180. So I asked the bretheren at FWW and was told that "allow up to 8 weeks for surface mail-but could be sooner". I am disgusted- but maybe the solution is not to renew, but subscribe to the Members thing, and get a subscription to "Australian Wood Review"- which looks quite good-similar to Fww of old-and it is just down the road from here...
Phillip,
I don't know.. reading all the slanging off here for a couple of weeks beforehand certainly builds the anticipation for each issue.

Mine also arrived on the 17th november-same as the Blitish-amazing.
Must be due to rotation of the earth.Philip Marcou
as the Blitish-amazing.. That old Queen still 'Lookin Good' fer her age!
"The queen's still looking good for her age."
That does it, Will. Take some time off and seek professional help! har-de-har-har

Hell.. I'm older than she is so she is fine lookin' to me!EDIT:: NOT knockin' the Queen.. I think she is just a LADY in a place I can't affords!I think the Brits' have the best Queen ever.. Her kids have ALOT to learn though!

You're right about her being a lady. She's brave, too. Didn't let Hitlers' bombers run her our of the palace.
Only mistake she made was not spending more time with her children out behind the wood shed.
Your bio says old but for some reason I figured you being in your 60's. Whatever your age, you don't appear to be old yet. Keep it up.
Chuck
Sort of biased about the brits... Had one for a 'nurse' as we called it back then.. She was more of a MOM than MY mom! I still love her ALOT.. Long passed....
Finewoodworking magazine arrived today in the United Kingdom thursday 17th November

So tell me, lads, does the Post still deliver twice daily in the U.K. ? I lived in Swansea in 1970 and 1971 and found that to be very interesting. Of course back then we had daily milk delivery, to the door, and in glass bottles, thank you very much !
Up the Swans !
Greg
Of course back then we had daily milk delivery!!My Mom got all dressed up for that? But then again it was just old Dad...
The post is only delivered once a day in the United Kingdom
Fresh milk is still delivered to my doorstep in glass bottles at approximately 7.30am every day
regards Charnwood
The only thng around my neck of the woods in glass bottles is "shine" :-)
As in whiskey!
A bad day woodworking is better than a good day working -- yes, I'm retired!
I'm in New Zealand and mine just arrived!
Malcolm
Your milk, or your Fine Woodworking ? ? ;-)
