I am going to be building my own bathroom cabinets for a remodel. I am going to be mixing solid cherry with a few different veneers. I am leaning toward using GF Seal-A-Cell with Arm-R-Seal. I have had good luck with that in the past, however, I am concerned about the higher moisture content in the bathroom. Can anyone offer a suggestion for a good, durable, moisture resistant finish? Thanks in advance.

Balls,
Yes. Garnet shellac followed by a good varnish, like Waterlox Original. You don't need poly on a project like this so why be subjected to it's faults. The garnet shellac will give the cherry a wonderful look and, if mixed fresh from flakes, quite a bit of moisture resistance. The Waterlox being made from Tung oil and phenolic resin is both very moisture resistant and very hard. Much harder than poly.
The two GF products you mentioned are, I believe, both wiping varnishes. I have never seen the sense in paying someone to add mineral spirits to varnish. I know that I can get mineral spirits a lot cheaper than varnish. So if you buy a quart of varnish and add a couple of bucks worth of mineral spirits to it you now have 2 quarts of varnish for about the same price as you would pay for one quart of premixed wiping varnish.
