I have some Jensen Jarrah patio furniture that I picked up at a garage sale. I’m not a fan of the weathered grey look. Structurally it’s sound, only some minor surface checks. My plan is to take them apart and sand them down to remove the grey. I’m then planning on Cabot Jarrah brown timber oil. What can I use as a topcoat to get a little sheen and more protection? I’ve read the recent article in Finewoodworking but I don’t want to go through 7 coats of Epifanes. Is there something that would be easily renewable, even yearly would be okay, just don’t want to have to do so much sanding again.

I would suggest not applying a different top coat - rather recoat every other year with the same product.
