I have a lot of Mulberry and Hedge on my place. I love them both for thier wonderful yellow colors. I also love the copper colors they age to, but on some pieces it would be great, if possible, to preserve the fresh cut colors, at least for longer. Are there any finishes that will help do that?

It's almost tilting at windmills. You get the least initial color change by using a water clear acyrlic waterborne. But nothing is going to do much to prevent the aging to copper. Target Emtech 9300 is marketed as a clear exterior waterborne with UV control additives. I haven't used it, and I'm quite sure it won't perform in the same league as really good oil based marine spar varnishes, but those are dark and yellow over time, whilte the Target will at least start clear and show little yellowing, and the UV additives may slow the color change for a year or two.
How about using one of those anti-aging cremes they advertize on TV to "nourish" the wood? ;-)
I figured it was hopeless, but you never know, so I had to ask. Right now I have a bunch of particularly bright, quarter sawn Mulberry that the color really pops on. Oh well, the copper color is nice too. Thanks.
