I am building a loft bed with stairs on one end, which have drawers in the risers of the steps which are enclosed on the sides, top and bottom of the stairs and a wardrobe on the other end, which has a clothes hanging area on 1/2 and drawers on the other half. Do you recommend finishing the inside of the stairs and the wardrobe drawer area and the bottom of the cases? Would you use Zinsser Seal Coat, shellac or lacquer? The outside will be dyed and finished with lacquer as will the clothes hanging area of the wardrobe. Thanks for your input..

Yes, apply a non-odor finish on the inside of the drawers and the hanging space. It will be easier to keep clean and minimize any snagging on spinters.
Use either shellac (Seal Coat is shellac) or a clear waterborne finish.
