I have contracted to strip and finish several pieces of office furniture for a private firm. Most all the exterior wood is maple and the interior drawer boxes and other pieces are of various types wood, whyle stripping these pieces with bix spray on stripper I have encountered several that refused to yield to the stripper. these are older pieces of furniture and have possibly been finished one more time sence new. My question is two fold what is the most powerful stripper available that will produce good results, and because some of the wood is a diffrent varity will a dye type stain color all the wood closer than an over the counter pre mixed oil stain. I would like to topcoat the project with nitrocellulose laquer if possible. Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks, Leonard

Usually a dye stain will color woods more uniformly, so I think you're on the right track there.
Can't help with the stripper. I assume you tried the tricks of covering with foil or plastic to keep it working longer?
