hello,
I would like to finish my table in the garage. I dont finish in the basemeant because of the smell. I bought a Infra-red Tank top heater. Come to find out that is can only be used in the outdoors. It goes on a 20lbs. propane tank. How can I heat my garage safely?? thank you chuck

Chuck,
You might want to click < Obsolete Link > here.

*I would think that the reason it is suggested to use it outside is the risk of carbon monoxide buildup which you could obviate by leaving door or windows open a crack to ventilate. My sister has used one of those kerosene heaters (shaped like a torpedo) to heat her garage while finishing.
*Problem with kerosene/propane heaters is the high amount of moisture (condensation) that they create, they are also unsafe in a wood working environment which most manufacturers clearly state. Click here for more information on the hazards of using these kinds of heaters.
