Finishing mesquite(sp?)
Am doing a jewlery box of mesquite & wondering if anyone has a good word on finishing it? I normally use BLO on other woods, followed by shellac & wax. Is mesquit oily? Will the BLO dry?

I use WATCO then i use any finish I want like wipe on poly is good I love mesquite I am makeing a morris chair all out of mesquite.Mesquite is just about the only wood i use.

James you will love the look of mesquite when you finish it you can use just about any thing you like, oh it is not oily it is dry see you have fun .
