This question is really for Chris Gochnour who built the fine apothecary cabinet featured in the video series. I was interested in seeing you finish the inside of the cabinet, but the video did not show you wiping off the excess danish oil from the interior. So, my question is this: why did you assemble the back before finishing? It makes in much harder to remove the excess danish oil.
Thanks and congratulations on a fine video series.

I agree with you about doing the back off the case. I also want to know about the bees wax application. Is this a mix of wax and mineral spirits applied and wiped off with a buff after it dries? or do you use a can of wax and do it like floor polish. Please clarify if possible.
Dear Big_Bill,
Here's Chris Gochnour's response to your question about waxing the apothecary cabinet:
Thanks for your interest in the project.
After completing the oil finish, I wax the surface with Goddard's .Bees Wax Polish. This is a great polish but I don't think it is available for purchase any longer. It's basically a bees wax in paste form just like a floor wax. I rub the surface completely with a waxed rag. After a few minutes of dry time, I buff the surface to a satin sheen with a soft rag. Although Goddard's is no longer available there are many paste waxes on the market that will yield the same results.
I hope this helps. Chris
