Does anyone have a formula for finishing white pine and coming out with a warm honey color, that is applicable for a large job. I have tried several things, but the processes tend to be complex with alot of steps. Would be interested in some ideas and experiences.

Use a Danish Oil finish and you will get an authentic honey pine color. Alternatively, for more "protection", spar varnish will give you a similar color.
*Use 2-3 coats of natural Danish oil followed by Fiddes "stripped pine" finishing wax. Nice, warm honey color like antique English country pine furniture, with a soft glow.
*I was looking for more of a production finish. A stain and something compatable with a sprayed finish
*You could spray a water-based aniline dye stain and then spray a varnish. There are literally hundreds of aniline dye stain colors available from many sources, and they can usually be mixed to achieve a particular color. I'd be surprised if there is not a stock color sold by someone that will fit your needs. Try the Woodworker's Supply catalog. They'll send you a color chart. Again, there are other sources. Do an internet search on "aniline dye stain".
