I’m planning to make a jewelry box of purple heart. How should I finish it to preserve, as best possible, the purple color? I’ve read about the benefits of heat, but that sounds nutty to me! Sun, yes, but in the oven?!
Thanks!

Unfortunately, the color is going to change through oxidation no matter what finish you use.
Keeping it out of strong light will slow it but not stop it.
