I’ve been using General’s Enduro Var Gloss sprayed on as my finish. It sprays nicely but there are always some small imperfections that need addressing. I’m wondering how you are finishing the finish for this?

I do very little that has a high gloss finish so this may not be on target. For semi-gloss and satin finished I will use a flat block with wet/dry abrasive film lubed with a spritz of mineral spirits.
The block may start out as a firm felt block if the irregularities are severe. Most of the time it is a rectangle of MDF large enough to register itself and not follow minor undulations. I will also have a small block of about 1-1/2" x 2" for tight spots.
I spray the surface area that I am going to work and then sand with 1000, 1500 or 2000 as required to reach the appearance I want. Once the mineral spirits starts to flash off or the block starts to grab, I stop and wipe off the area and reapply fresh MS.
