I am having my pole building raised a level so I can drive into the first floor and move my woodworking upstairs. The new level is engineered to 100#/sq ft, with plywood floor. What would be the best finish for durability. I read the article fm FWW on Shop Flooring Solutions. The BLT roll seemed a fine product for the cost, but a good paint would be even less. In your opinion would it be worth the cost for the PVC?
Thanks, Greg Alexander

Greg,
How 'bout the cheapest? Nothing.
I'd put my money into energy efficiency. It's not likely you'll wear out the plywood and with no finish at all the floor doesn't ever get slippery. If you use hand tools I think you'll appreciate not slipping around whilst planing, etc.

A Woodworkers mind should be the sharpest tool in the shop!
I like the idea of cheapest is good, but even on my concrete floor drips of glue was hard to remove. With a bare wood floor I picture trying to chip off the drops and see removing chunks of wood. Still I'm looking at anywhere from $600 - $1200. Nothing to sneeze at. I figured 5 gals of floor paint would be a lot less.
Thanks, Greg
Waterlox Gym Finish (or whatever they call that formulation nowadays). Very unslippery and holds up to traffic well.

Denny, thanks for the lead, I'll check it out.

They changed their formulation names a coupla years back. It was called "GYM FINISH". That's the one you want. It gave good traffic protection and was anti-slip.
