Ok, so I bought a Kreg jig to join some exterior window casings with stainless hardware and I noticed that the screw heads do not sit flush in the pocket when all is said and done. My depth settings are correct and I am using Kreg screws.
What gives? Isn’t this the point? Am I doing something wrong?

Greg,
The screws should be about 1/8" below the surface. I have yet to have any problem with the K3 jig. Have a look at the stop collar on the drill bit and make sure you are aligning it correctly - which end of the stop are you aligning with the mark? It should be the end closest to the bit end. It sounds like you have the stop collar too close to the tip of the drill bit. If this doesn't help, which Kreg jig do you have?

You're right! I measured from the tip of the bit instead of the shoulder as directed. Guess I need to slow down, eh?
