I’ve read many articles on choosing a table saw or portable one and I am still not able to choose. So maybe you can help me. My info is:
1 New at wood working
2.been building a log home, and have a old delta Rockwell 9″ table saw, fence is broke. friends have lent me a portable skill saw, that fence is tweaked, and a dwalt with the easy to use fence, rack and pinion one. I liked it but, now it’s time for me to get my own. I live where repair is a diy and my future plans are to make my own cabinets. out buildings, picture frames and just about anything that grabs my attention. I do follow THE DIRECTIONS and the more I’ve done the more I learn and love it. so where should I start, which one? Thank You

It sounds as if you have two basic choices. What's known as a contractor's saw (reasonably portable, although small). Or what's called a hybrid saw (a smallish version of a big tablesaw, not very portable).
You can find our most recent tool test of hybrid saws here:

For individual listings of tablesaws, including contractor's saws, check here:

Hope this helps.
