Hi Derek,
I love wooden planes and yours is a beauty. The important question is though, how are the shavings?
Be safe,
Ken
it doesn't cut the greatest yet. I need to get my water stones on the job and hone the iron. BUt Aside from being half assed sharp it cut ok. I realized after I had started to form to sole that I should have put a spring angle on it. It makes it a little tougher to push the way that I have built it, but for the first try I won't get to picky. It is built from true mahogany, with an ash wedge and tote. I still have another good sized chunk left so I think I may give it another go. This time maybe a cove and roundover set. Who knows... I do know that sweeping up shavings of the floor is 100x better than cleaning up any mess made by a router. IF you can afford the time to do it by hand it is well worth. That and your haering won't go.
Hasta Leuego
